Accessibility at Haven
Standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA · Status: partially conformant · Last reviewed 2026-06-10
Haven is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the product meets the standard, with the known limitations listed below being actively worked.
What we do
- An automated axe-core (WCAG 2.1 A/AA ruleset) gate runs in the test suite on both web portals — new screens cannot merge with violations.
- Color contrast is enforced as exact WCAG ratio math over the design tokens in the same test suite.
- Skip links, landmark structure, focus management on dialogs, and form labeling are part of the component conventions.
- Manual keyboard and screen-reader review accompanies major UI changes.
Known limitations
- Automated axe coverage is being extended page-by-page; some screens are not yet under the gate.
- Text rendered over the brand gradient hero is verified manually (automated contrast math covers solid-color pairs only).
- PDF outputs (the filed-return facsimile) are not yet tagged PDFs.
Feedback
If any part of Haven is hard to use with assistive technology, tell your firm through the Messages page — accessibility reports are triaged with defects, not feature requests.
